The fact that people make money by uploading videos to YouTube weirds me out a bit. I know, they are fun to watch, but to be honest, most of the 'famous youtubers' like Tayna Burr, Tyler Oakley etc. are nearly 25, and the fact that this is their career does creep me out a bit. Is this still going to be their career at 30? or 45?
Their influence on young people is phenomenal, and yet the message that seems to be given across is one that encourages people to abandon dreams of formal employment in pursuit of jobs centered around medias that are ever changing and weren't even around 7 years ago.
